Hey all,

So I received my EAD card today in the mail, and I'm attempting to check the status of this using SAVE CaseCheck - I'm just wondering how I do this?

The options presently are;

Verification Case Number (I would've thought it was this one but it requires a 15 digit code, the card number on the EAD is only 14 and the receipt number is even less)

Alien/USCIS Number (Nothing comes up for this one)

I-94 Number (If I enter this one, my Social Security application pops up)

Then there's a few other options which are not applicable - at the end there is a Passport Number option, but again nothing pops up.

Any idea how to do this? I want to get to the DMV ASAP, and have heard if they can't verify in SAVE there's nothing you can do.

DMV will use your MSC number on the EAD to verify you. It's mostly done within a few seconds.

You cannot check anything in SAVE right now because as of now, you are not applying for anything federal that requires SAVE verification.

Oh so I myself can't check the SAVE status? It has to be done by the DMV?

You can check your verification through SAVE when you are applying for anything Federal like SSN or DL. But like I said, it's mostly done within a few seconds so there is nothing to check up on if you have no verification.

Most people check up on their verification when they apply for a SSN, if they know how to check through SAVE.
