Hello Vjs,

My AOS interview has been scheduled for few weeks to come...I need any gist or info on what to expect from the interview from anyone here that has gone through it.

Just be there on time, dress decently. Officer may or may not be nice. Husband and wife will be interviewed in the same room and turns will be random. It does not go in sequence such as husband gets asked first and then wife then husband and then wife -- no. In my case, I was the one adjusting status but it was my husband who was asked more questions and the order was husband, husband, husband, wife, husband, wife, husband, husband, husband.

 

Questions could be about how you met (basically questions that have been asked already when your spouse was trying to get her K1 visa approved. And then will jump to your married life, and back to when you were not married yet. They could also ask  you the same questions over and over again. It could be brief, it could be long.

 

Just be honest and have everything ready,you will be fine.
