Hello VJourneyers,

I'm starting to file for AOS from a K-1 visa and I have a question concerning i-485 form, Part 3 - question 2-4:

1. Have you ever applied for an immigrant visa to obtain permanent resident status at a U.S. Embassy or U.S. Consulate abroad?

[YES, my parents immigrated with me when I was little but after a number of years decided to relocate to another country instead so we filed for a record of abandonment i-407 after receiving our green cards] [I assume they are referring to the immigrant visa and not the permanent resident/green card?...I don't think embassies issue permanent resident statuses/green cards?]

Location of U.S. Embassy or U.S. Consulate

2.a. City

2.b. Country

[On the green card I gave up, it was written "MSC", which I assume was the Missouri Service Center / National Benefits Center.
I'm confused...not sure whether to put the country where my parents immigrated from or this MSC.]

3. Decision     [I assume approved since I had a green card...; are they asking about the green card here or the visa?...I assume they are asking visa]

4. Date of Decision    [I am not sure what to put down here since it wasn't me who filed for it and my parents didn't keep much of a record.

The only document I have from my parents is something called:
"IMMIGRANT VISA AND ALIEN REGISTRATION".
"VALID ONLY IF ACCOMPANYING OR FOLLOWING IMMIGRANT VISA AND ALIEN REGISTRATION TO JOIN WIFE".
"VALID ONLY IF ACCOMPANYING OR FOLLOWING IMMIGRANT VISA AND ALIEN REGISTRATION TO JOIN MOTHER".

They were issued by a U.S. Embassy abroad with an issued date. Is the i-485 referring to this date? Or like a Notice of Action Date etc]

I suppose I need to provide a copy of the following documents along with my i-485:
-"VALID ONLY IF ACCOMPANYING OR FOLLOWING IMMIGRANT VISA AND ALIEN REGISTRATION TO JOIN MOTHER".
-Approved i-407 Record of Abandonment of Lawful Permanent Resident Status

Thank you so much for your help :)
