Picked up packet for reaffirmations and NOT received interview date (split)

Question for anyone out there.    Has anyone picked up their interview packet (for reaffirmations) and NOT received an interview date - instead awaiting a call from the embassy w a date?  Please advise.

I may be incorrect, I thought you go back in the afternoon if picked up in the am to get the date? Maybe they haven't finished the review. Our letter was sent August 29 to the US. I am not sure we will ever see it and will have to wait 30 days to make arrangement for pick up. Hopefully you will get an email or phone call. Email if you don't hear from them.

Did you say your call-in letter was sent to the US? Do they send it to the petitioner or the applicant?

Yes, unbelievable but yes. The call in letter was sent to the petitioner per the embassy.

Your situation is different.. a reaffirmed petition interview procedure is different from the normal routine.

I've got a similar situation. We received a call in letter for my sister-in-law and when she went to the embassy on Sept. 6 expecting a packet and interview date she was given a letter stating that they were "establishing a new online appointment system" and that they would contact her with further guidance once the new system is set up. They haven't heard anything since then. It's not a reaffirmation, but it is similar in that it's an IR-1/CR-1 visa that is scheduled by the Embassy rather than by NVC and it's in the same timeframe. Does anyone else know about this new online appointment system?

Seriously how long does it take to set up a new system?! 🙄  August 30th we picked our packet up and still waiting 😕

i read online somewhere back in February they were putting in a new system for immigrant visas and that took a month so who knows maybe soon we all will get our much awaited date.   Keep us posted please.

I'm hoping since we're at the end of the month and NVC is starting to schedule their next round of interviews that this new system will come online in the next week. There is some logic there, but it may just be wishful thinking. There definitely has been confusion at the embassy about the DCF process so I've been worried that they've got it confused with the K-1 online scheduling system and really we should have been assigned an interview date with the call in letter.
