Address while a student - What to enter?

Hi there everyone, I am asking this question on behalf of my fiance (She is the US petitioner).

 

She is wondering what to put as her address during her time at college. She was at college for four years, three years at SLC in NY and one year abroad in the UK.

 

Should she enter her address during that time as each of the addresses she lived at during college, or can she put her family home's address in Vermont? She seems to think that according to the government she would have been considered living in VT and only boarding in NY.

 

Bit of a tricky one, let me know if it isn't clear what I'm asking.

She should list  each one as an address where she lived during college.

Boarding is living...

Did she receive mail in NY?  If so, she was living there.

Yeah she did.

 

I think the thing that is throwing her off is that she jumped back and forth between NY and VT because she spent her summers and vacation time inbetween college years in VT, so she's not sure how to fill it in.

 

For instance, if she were to fill it in for the space of 4 years as it asks it would be:

 

• 9 months college (NY)
• 3 months at home (VT)
• 9 months college (NY)
• 3 months at home (VT)
• 9 months college (UK)
• 3 months at home (VT)
• 9 months college (NY)
• 3 months at home (VT)

 

Which seems excessive.

 

Any suggestions?

I wrote every single address for every (different address) while I was away for school. And then I also included where I was living during the summers.  It meant tediously adding a lot of lines to that question in the application,  but that way there were no gaps or questions further down the road.

She has to enter all the addresses she lived for the past 5 years including present address irrespective of the country. I was in UK for 4 years and 10 months in Dubai and i had to mention because they are fell under the past addresses of 5 years. 

 

Note : (beneficiary) If your addresses in the past 5 years was in a foreign country for more than one year then don't forget to apply for a Police Certificate from that foreign country.

My fiance lived in the UK for about 8 months and I lived in South Korea for 11 months, do you think we'll need clearance for that?

 

Some people say you have to have lived there for 6 months, others say a year.

Now that depends from country to country. I lived in Dubai for 10 months but the visa officer did not require a PCC from Dubai (UAE) but he wanted one from UK since it was 4 years of stay. It took me nearly a month to receive the UK PCC mail from UK to India so I guess you should work on this before your interview. You will need to contact ustraveldocs regarding this.
