I received notice of my status chance about 10 days after my interview and I got the letter 4 days after the update. Hopefully your husbands application follows that same timeline and in less than 2 weeks you will know more. 

N-400 Timeline (San Francisco field office):

 

09/05/2017 (day   00):  N-400 application sent via USPS

09/08/2017 (day   03):  Application delivered (USPS tracking info)

09/11/2017 (day   06):  Credit Card Charged (Online Banking)

09/13/2017 (day   08):  Case Number (NBC*XXXXXXXXX) Received via email and text

09/16/2017 (day   11):  Receipt Notice via us mail Priority Date: 09/08/17

09/21/2017 (day   16):  Biometrics Appointment Notice Received

09/29/2017 (day   24):  Early walk-in biometrics was completed (originally scheduled for 10/02/17)

10/19/2017 (day   44):  Email and text notification received Case Status "Case in line for an interview"

06/27/2018 (day  295): Email and text notification received Case Status "Interview was Scheduled"

07/02/2018 (day  300): Interview Letter Received via USPS

08/01/2018 (day  330): Interview Date

08/09/2018 (day  339): Email and text notification received Case Status "Oath Ceremony"

08/13/2018 (day  342): Oath Letter Received

09/06/2018 (day  366): Oath Ceremony (1 Year / 1 Day)

Hello everyone,

 

I know that lot of people had question/concern over should we apply for passport at the time Oath Ceremony or not. Here's our experience:

 

We had our Oath Ceremony on Aug 9th, morning session. We decided to apply for passport during the same time. Although, I had appointment at local post office for following day just as a back up.

 

About 845 people were present at the ceremony and more than half decided to apply there so there was a HUGE line. BUT, the key is, if you have the gray envelope ready (the one we received during the interview process), we just need to drop it off at the desk and no need to stand in line.

 

Make sure, you have signed the application, signed the naturalization certificate, included one photo and appropriate check with correct amount. 

 

We did not stand in line. We received our passports yesterday.

 

Hope this helps for the people having their Oath in Sept.

No, nothing. I sent two inquiries about the green card being so far behind the estimated time and how it was affecting the citizenship process and they just reply saying I should have an update on the case withing 90 days... but the update can be anything, so it was not really helpful. Fingers crossed we all receive new interview letters in September.

I am assuming that majority of the people who got interview filed on or before Aug 2017?  I filed in Nov 2017 and yet to hear anything and wondering if Nov 2018 is when i will get an interview letter.

I filed on September 5, 2017 and had my interview on August 1st, 2018.  I think September and October fillers are being called in, so November shouldn't be much longer..... maybe a month or two more...

My self and my husband are October filers. Submitted on October 16th . Inline since November 14th. We didn't hear so far. We are  bit worried since some of the October filers are already done with their interviews. How do we inquire to know the status? We are not I-751 filers.

Hi all,

I am just new to the forum. I applied to SF office on 11/9/2017, biometrics 11/30/2017.

The website still showing "We reviewed your biometrics. You do not need to do anything at this time". How is my application in comparison to others? What is the latest date for the applications that has been processed?
