SB-1 Visa

Hello everyone,

 I need a suggestion regarding SB-1 Visa.

 

I was given an LPR status ( green card) through my parents who were in the US for more than 10 years. But had to return back to India due to family problems , I was 12 years old that time. Being a minor I had no option to move back with them. My father had applied for Re-entry permit  2 times and after could not do so anymore. Because of his decision, I had to stay back in India and could do anything about. After I became a major I  wanted to go back to the US but I was already admitted into Medical School and could not move out of the country until the duration of the course of 5 years. I have recently graduated and would like to return back to the US. Is there hope of getting an SB -1 visa which would help me pursue my dreams of becoming a physician in the US?

I'm guesstimating from the info you provided that it has been more than 10 years since you have been back to the US. Maybe even closer to 15. If that is the case then, no, the SB-1 would not help. 

 

What is the status of your father in the US? 

 

With a medical degree you can look into a possible work visa.
