I haven't heard yet of anyone blocked from submitting the application online---EXCEPT for those with certain GC anniversary dates falling within a specific timeframe.  Cannot remember the exact perimeters of that.  It lets you know in less than a minute whether you are eligible or not by answering a few online questions.

I can tell you for certain that If you are filing for a fee waiver, or using an interpreter or legal representative to fill out the form you would be disqualified.  Payment has to be submitted at the end for your application to be received, and there is only room for one electronic signature---hence those disqualifications above.

Thanks! I don't need fee waiver, interpreter etc. I'll at least try.

Well, mystery solved and I'm now more frustrated with SIL than anything else.  LOL  Date was entered wrong on his paper application!!  Even though the copy of his green card that he enclosed with the application had the correct date, there is nothing that the person receiving the application could do to change the date he had entered on the form, so they had to send it back.  SO, definitely this one is on my kids . . .  lol  Thank you all for your suggestions and input . . .  He re-filed yesterday, so now, we wait.  He didn't want to file online, so I just have to tell myself that is his choice, and that maybe it wouldn't have been that much quicker for a decision if he filed online.     I/we will just be glad for the day when we are finally done dealing with immigration - daughter first immigrated to England to be with him 8 years ago, eventually did her UK citizenship there before they moved back here.  So it's been a lot of immigration paperwork over the past 8 years, as I am sure is true for all of you as well.

Best of luck with your filing---sorry the online thing was a no-go for you (on your SIL's side).  Hopefully you won't have to wait too long.

Something so simple causing so much problems.

Can't blame you one bit to be done with immigration. We were never so happy to get it over with here too.
