Hi there,

Can someone let me know if I need to physically be at my address that I list on the I-130 to receive and complete the NVC packet details, or is this accessible online? Obviously, I'd need to be here to complete the medical exam and other criminal/security checks they may ask for, but I'm just trying to figure out what a LOA situation might look like since I may spend some time in the US with my spouse while the I-130 is processing / being approved. Is it an option to have a different forwarding address for the packet details to be sent to after the I-130 is approved?

Thanks for all the help!

Have you filled out G-1145 form for email notification? if you do, you will get email notification regarding your approval and as well as welcome letter from NVC long before you get you hard copy in mail. Normally that should be sufficient to start NVC process. During DS-261(Choice of agent), if you want, you can choose your US address so that everything comes to your US address. But honest with you so far, i didn't have to rely on hard copy of any mail for any steps, i was able to do everything based on my email copy. Hopefully this helps.
