Please help!!

My female fiance is from the Philippines and everything has been smooth sailing.

However, we're now filling out our DS160 and noticed a small error from her G325a. She accidentally put in WORK HISTORY that she graduated from college in June of 2013, when she really graduated in April.

We're using her college years as part of her "past 5 years of work history" on the DS160, since we also used this on the G325a.

I'm trying not to freak out, but I'm afraid if we put the correct month (April) on the DS160, they might fail us automatically because it doesn't match her G325a. We know we can just make fhe DS160 say "June", but we need advice!

Is this even a big deal? I'm just worried that if the DS160 says she finished school in April (for work history AND past education, two sections), they'll just see a different month and deny us. Can anyone please help? It was just an honest mistake/typo and a difference of one month.

I'm worried that if we leave it June to match, they may think "college doesn't end in June" and ask us about it. We don't want to be dishonest of course... I know I'm a worry-wart but we're getting so close...

Thank you and we appreciate the advice. This is also me assuming that when they look at the DS160, they cross reference it with our K-1 G325a infomation (parents names etc). Thank you!!

That is close enough so don't worry about it. You are over thinking this thing WAY to much. What visa did y'all file for? If you have any questions about the Philippines then come on over to the Philippines Subforum and ask them there. We will gladly help you out with anything Philippines specific.

Also PLEASE FILL OUT YOUR TIMELINE because it will help us help you out better.

That is a small data entry error and will not result in visa denial. The CO may or may not clarify on the discrepancy of her graduation date and that's really not a big deal. She can just be honest and tell the CO it was a typo.

On a lighter note, time in school should not be included under the employment section of DS-160 as it is not a form of employment.

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.

Thanks so much guys, a sigh of relief. What DO people usually have a problem with on DS160s then???

Also, it asks for her employment for the past 5 years.. She was unemployed one year now as we work on our things (didn't want to be in teaching contract) - and her 3 years of teaching prior only account for 4 years of employment history... Should we do "unemployed" with STUDENT to fill in the 5th year (this was why we put her college years). Thanks again!!

They will only get in trouble if they LIED on application.

Wait. Are we still talking about DS-160 or G-325A? I do not recall the DS-160 asking for employment history from the last 5 years, only the current employment. If you are actually talking about G-325A, it's simply not needed for I-129F and it's definitely not needed at the K-1 interview stage.
