Interview Appointment

In the instruction package for K-1 applicants it says "You should NOT schedule the interview appointment until you have received an instruction letter from the U.S. Consulate and have submitted the confirmation page of the DS-160, visa photos, and a copy of passport for each applicant to our office at the above address. Failure to do so may delay your visa processing."

 

Does anyone know how long we must wait for this letter. We are in Ho Chi Minh City and we've submitted information they asked for.

We are also waiting for the email/letter.  Online status of "READY" is dated 7/23.  Hope it is not a long wait. We have not submitted any info yet, and will call next week to check on it if we have not received letter (Packet3/4).

My fiancee completed her DS 160 a few days ago, printed bank deposit slip, went to post office and paid fee. She did not schedule interview as per directions. When she arrived at work this morning and logged into her account and there appeared a screen to schedule interview. So no letter mailed apparently. I'm assuming the embassy received her DS 160 confirmation page, photos, copy of passport and payment all the same day. It took 3 business days from completion of DS 160 to interview schedule. Interview is 37 days out. Hope this helps you Bren9218
