Hi

I am preparing the i-130 and i-130a for my spouse and was wondering about leaving blank spaces for the questions about address history.  For example, not all addresses overseas have a postal code. Also, if they have a postal code, they don't have a zip code, and vice versa. So should I write "none," "N/A," or leave those spaces blank? Also, not all residences have a suite or apartment number, so should that be left blank, or filled with "none" or "N/A"?

Also, when it asks to list address history for the last five years, does that include short term residences for a few months? If those are left out, would they question that and wonder why there is a period of a few months without an address?

Thank you in advance.

I have always been told on government forms to put N/A rather than leave blank. I will be filling out the same forms soon :)

I believe the form comes with instructions. Make sure that you read them thoroughly maybe it will say in those?

If you'll use the PDF file and complete it on a computer, you'll find you are not allowed to enter some information that is clearly not applicable.  Beyond that, for example, once you've indicated "No Children" or "No more children" you can leave blank all further questions about children.  There are other similar areas.
