A couple days ago i went to my medical appointment and it was quiet fast. Ill share my experience as i wouldve loved to have read something like this before i went.

I went to dr. Viviana melinchon office. She has a website with some information on docs you need to bring. ( http://www.medicalvisaperu.com )

So you get there, fill a form with all your information and answer some questions on your medical conditions (current and past) sign a paper, they take your picture and you sit and wait.

Then you get your presure taken some eye test, weight and height.

Go back to sit and wait till the doc calls you. she asks you to take off your top and bra and she checks your abdomen, listens to your heart and lungs.

She asks some questions about your intentions in the us and health conditions. She also asks for vaccinations (all your under 18 vaccinations are worthless. You need (in case you have it) adult vaccination records).

After that, you will be told you need 4 vaccinations (according to the nurse there and a couple other people in the room, its always 4.- influenza, tb, hepatitis and neumococo) you will need to make a deposit of 585 soles for all of them.

Now, according to them you could go to minsa and get the influenza one for free. But you need to bring the card that certifies you got it. Thats the only one you can get there. Minsa doesnt have the others. Doing that saves you 80 soles.

You could also go somewhere else and get the others but as one of the nurses told me, the doctor wont take them as she will need to sign an official doc for the embassy and she cant be completely sure you didnt fake the certificate, therefore you will have to pay, at least, 505 soles besides the 1050 soles medical fee.

In that last fee the transportation to the clinica angloamericana in san isidro s included. They put a yellow paper tag on your wrist so staff there know what youre up to. Youll get xray, blood test and will have to give a pee sample.

After that youre done!
