It's written pretty clearly there. If the traffic violation was involving a fine of $500 or more, mark YES and include information on it, including the tickets papers, and presumably, the receipt of payment for the fine.

Both tickets should be included.

Was it $500 fo speeding; or something like: $300 for speeding, $150 for tinted windows, and $50 for broken taillight?

both 500 and 600 for speeding so will it affect on our processing ? she said she gonna pay it next month will we have to include the papers or just choose no ?

"Unless a traffic violation involved a fine of $500 or more". It did. You need to mark YES.

It doesn't matter if it's paid - they're asking "have you ever?"

If you are not truthful about this on the form now, it may come back to bite you as a criminal history of your fiance WILL be checked, and they WILL see these fines. It's even worse if they see that they are outstanding or that any community service that may be required has not been completed.

@OutOfThisWorld Even if it was for multiple things like tinted windows, noise violation, etc... It all falls under the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act and is a traffic violation.

Whether it affects processing is up to the USCIS and ultimately the consulate or embassy. In some states, high fine tickets like that are actually registered as a criminal offense, so they need to ask the question. All I can say is that it looks a heck of a lot better if it's paid for.

@OutOfThisWorld im not sure which country this person is from but in my country speeding tickets are doubled in construction zones and alot of people get them speeding 130km/hr on a 110 zone and the construction sign says 50km ... so it doesnt surprise me. But alot of the times they also get a court date.     I agree with the above check mark "yes". Its a traffic violation doesny matter what kind.

Holly marcel, I just looked up your state. Indeed, speeding 26-34 MPH over the posted limit is a Class B misdemeanor offense, with potential penalty of 180 days in the county jail and a $1,500 fine.

Never speed in Illinois, I guess.
