06.14.2006 - Got Married in Alexandria, Egypt :) :) :)

05.23.2007 - INTERVIEW DATE!!!!!!! inshallah.......

*** Interview is a SUCCESS !!!! *** now for a speedy AP!! inshallah...

06.18.2007 - Starting to Freak Out over this AP #######

06.27.2007 - Visa In Hand.. Alhamdulillah!

07.13.2007 - Husband arrives in the US!!! alhamdulillah ..yup.. thats right Friday the 13th!!

It doesn't matter what you say

I just can't stay here every yesterday

Like keep on acting out the same

The way we act out

Every way to smile

Forget

And make-believe we never needed

Any more than this...

You need to lay out the facts of your case and provide all evidence to support your story. Then be specific as to what you would like them to do for you. Try to keep it short and organized. Remember the aide willnot know the story and may not know some of the particular details related to your problem.

Be sure to follow up and keep a record of dates and persons contacted. Also remeber that not all congressional aides are equal. If one does not seem to be helpful, contact a different representative.

I would either email or call or send a letter explaining your story and situation. Then you should probably sign your release form so that they will be able to help you.

I called mine from Casablance then went to their office in my town and signed a form and wrote a statement about what happened and the Congressmen's office contacted the Consulate the next day on my behalf.

Good luck,

Sarah

If you need help you need to download the privacy form first, fill it out and sign it. Then, as posted above, write a brief description of the situation/problem and what you want them to do for you i.e. find out the status of packet 3. FAX the privacy form and letter to your senator or congressman's office and call to find out who is the person assigned to your case. I would get their email and direct phone number too. Keep records of the conversations and the things they promise to do. If you do not succeed with the first immigration liaison, call another location of the senator's office or a different senator.

Most Senators have a website. What I did was follow his office's procedures. They usually want you to fill out a form to authorize them to work on your behalf and to be privy to your information. I would get in contact with his office's liason and they will tell you what to do -- send in : the form, a written statement, and copies of pertinent information (like NOA's). The Senator's office I worked with was very great and called/emailed/sent me correspondence all along the way. Again...I don't think the Casa consulate would have sent out the packet in any timely fashion to my husband had the Senator not intervened -- the same day he got an email response from them, I also got an email response and the packet mysteriously appeared at my husband's house.
