Received my N-445 with the Oath scheduled for July 20.  As Murphy would have it, the whole family have a trip scheduled to native Croatia, around dates of my daughter's competitions... long story short, need to request a reschedule.  I see from scanning the forums that I'm certainly not unique in this and that reschedule is possible, but my question is - where do I return the form and send the letter?  Filed the application to Lewisville, TX, had fingerprinting in Austin, TX, the interview in the San Antonio, TX office, and the N-445 notice came from somewhere in Kentucky (unfortunately, my wife threw out the envelope it came in).  The instructions on the form simply say "return this notice immediately with a written explanation", and the uscis.gov site says I should return it to "my local USCIS office".  Which one of the 4 places my case has been through is considered "my local office" for this purpose?

Thank you so much!

Make an info pass appointment at the office you went for your interview, they should be able to help you reschedule it.  Only because I am skeptical that if you send a letter in they'll get it, act on it in a timely fashion before July 20th.

It's quite common for oath ceremonies to be held at different places, especially if you live in city or there some volume churned through that office.

Just to update with the final results.

Guessed San Antonio (interview location and address), mailed the envelope.

13 days later (on July 11) received notice in  the mail that my oath ceremony is "cancelled", and that they will notify me under separate notice "the next steps".

Traveled out of the country as planned on July 18, returned Aug 7 (for the first time in my life and 26 years of traveling in and out of the US was taken to additional screening, where they ran my luggage through X rays and let me through in 30 seconds - not sure if coincidence, or it had something to do with my pending naturalization - not really important as it was a non-event in the end).

Today received email that my status has changed, and website says that another oath schedule notice was mailed to me today and if I don't receive it in the mail by Sep 13, yada-yada....  Last time the "if you don't receive it" date was the date of the oath ceremony, so I assume the oath date will be September 13.

The original date was July 20, so the new one is less than 2 months after.  Seems like the process is relatively simple and quick - a. in Texas, and b. at this time!  Just not well explained beyond the terse instruction on the form itself.  I see in few other topics "don't reschedule unless you are in a hospital", "cancel your travel plans no matter the cost", "it will take years to resolve"... I don't want to call all those posts fear-mongering as this may be true in other regions, but that was not in the least bit my experience in Texas in the summer of 2017.

thanks for sharing.

i presume majority folks will rather reschedule their travel plans, international especially , in order to becoming US citizen ,which can give you lots of easiness when you and your family return from the oversea trip to cross the customs

Ever since I had the Bio metrics appt on 22 Feb 17, I have not made any travel plans for fear of scheduling on the possible interview date. Then I would have had to pay travel penalties as no way would I have rescheduled the interview.  I had my interview on Aug 9, and now will patiently wait for the Oath Letter.  After the Oath Ceremony ,  I will change my Social Security Information, then I will apply for the US passport.  Next year I will resume my normal vacation habits!

Smart decision! since lots of folks have been waiting for this moment for 3 or 5 years long,  why dont you  just wait a little bit longer for your trip and get you certificate on time  only if you are sleeping in hospital for medical conditions?

life is good after you have blue US passport in your hands. it's worry-free when you travel oversea and you know you are protected as being U.S citizen by the U.S government/embassy.
