Comments : POE was Philadelphia. Was waiting in immigration for 1.5 hours (lots and lots of people waiting). He missed his connecting flight to Indy by just a few minutes.

He's thrown flew Philly before with no problems, so I think it was a just a fluke (maybe being a Friday?). He had no harassment from officers- they just asked him when we were getting married, asked for his packet, and sent him on his way!

POE Review: Philadelphia
Event Description
Entry Date : 2013-10-25
Embassy Review : I'm writing on behalf of my (now!) husband:

My husband had a mixed experience in Philly. He had no problems with any immigrations officers (no harassment), but it happened to be very busy that day (maybe because it was a Friday?) and he missed his connecting flight to Indianapolis. :/

He was taken to a separate room along with every other non-US citizen who were being questioned or taken through extra steps before being allowed in. Because there were so many people he had to wait almost 1.5 hours. The only thing he was asked:

"When are you getting married?" and then they told him the deadline date to get married. They took his sealed envelope, but returned his X-rays to him.

He has flown through Philly before with virtually no problems with timing, so we (foolishly now, we realize) booked a flight with about 2 hours of layover (you need more, just in case!!!) We'd read several reviews of it taking about 15 minutes or so to get through, so we thought we'd gamble... oh well! As I mentioned before, he missed his flight to Indy by just a few minutes, but he was able to get on the next flight with no problem.

All in all, it was not a bad experience!

Harassment Level : Low

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
