Hello all,

Two questions:

1. At what point is it worth following up to see when my wife's I-485 (AOS) interview will be scheduled?

2. How does one go about doing that?

Context: My wife is adjusting status from H1B to LPR. EAD card was received on May 13, 2017 (day 98). Currently on Day 140 of her application (from mailing date of entire package).

Thank you for your help, much appreciated!

Day 0: 2017/02/04 - Application filed for wife (I-485, I-130, I-765 and supporting documents); sent to Chicago Lockbox

Day 17: 2017/02/21 - AOS NOA1

Day 46: 2017/03/22 - Successful Biometrics appointment

Day 87: 2017/05/02 - EAD approved

Day 98: 2017/05/13 - EAD received

Join the AOS February 2017 filers (in the subforum for those adjusting from tourist/work/student visas) and you'll find many, many people waiting for the same thing. Check the processing times for your field office on USCIS website to see what dates they're currently working on, that might give you an idea for how long you have to wait.

You only filed in February so the time you've waited this far is more or less "nothing". Expect this to take a year or more, consider yourself lucky if it takes less than a year.

You can call USCIS customer service anytime you like to ask about your case but considering you only filed in Feb they most likely won't give you any other response than "you have to wait". They will also refer to the processing times on USCIS website.
