Hi there I just want to ask something regarding the OTHER NAMES USED in DS 160, I just want to ask somethIng I worked as an ofw in taiwan for 3 years  and  I used my chinese name but I do not know how type my chinese name in the computer, Do I have to fill this in my DS 160 first page? Nice to hear from you soon. Thank you.

If the Chinese name is the same as your legal name then leave it blank. Once at the interview you can explain it to the CO. Otherwise use the English translation if different from legal name.

What about if I used the surname of my ex husband do I have to write in the other names used? Another question is regarding the MARITAL STATUS OF DS160 I'm annuled do I have to write single? Or Others and specify Annuled in the box? Thank you so much,,,

Yes because that is another name used. Anullment is being single just if you were divorced.

write it phonetically, I could try to type it for you.

ok, that's Mandarin, so I wouldn't't know how to type them

 

But you can't post Chinese characters on your forms anyway, so just put that romanized name then.

Everything must be in English.

Yes to listing your previous married name.  

 

You could use the other and annulled if you want
