Timeline

She passed her sputum test yesterday. No positive result over 60 days!! She got her vaccinations today and her sealed packet is being sent to the U.S. Embassy. Huh! That changed. We thought she would be given it to carry to her interview. We are as excited now to be moving forward after the 3 month holdup!!! She scheduled her interview already for 7:10am on September 21st. Wheeee!!!

Sending the medical file to the embassy is normal in this situation, hand carrying is not allowed.

 Maybe now, but until recently there had been instructions on the embassy web site re: bringing the sealed envelope from SLEC with repeated warnings about not breaking the seal on the envelope.

For normal medicals hand carrying the file is done.  But your fiancee completed SPUTUM ... no HAND CARRY.  SLEC will send the file to USEM
