I started this thread because I wanted to know if anyone else had this type of interview experience.

My husband had his interview back in March and after the interview he called me and told me it lasted for about an hour, not only that he told me they took him to an interview room with 3 CO's, 2 of which were Pakistani.  In the beginning they asked him the typical questions, where did you meet, how did you meet, what we did when we met, etc. Then the interview took a turn and they accused my husband of being in a fake marriage.

After the interview, they kept his passport and gave him the white slip and didn't ask for any other documents.  Now our case is currently under AP.  Has anyone else had this experience or know someone who has?

My husband had his interview this month and had the EXACT same experience, although he said he had two co's the second time. Yes, they said the same things, although they focused on my divorces. He felt they were accusing him of fraud also. He was so insulted...we are an older couple. I've visited him 7 times, we have known each other 6.5 years, and we had 6 pounds of evidence. What a crock of #######!!  Got AP, the same. Keep us updated.

No, I can't just up and go. I'm a teacher and can't take off that long at that time of year. I will go over there at the end of June if we don't hear anything. I think they try to intimidate anyone they are going to put in AP. My hubby said it appeared most of the ones getting their visas were older people, like somebody's parents, etc. We had tons of evidence, and all they could talk about were my divorces. But I am hopeful still. We won't give up. We have been together 6.5 years. How could it be a green card scam? He would have given up long ago...lol

Met my husband in 2011 and we talked on FB, Skype and WhatsApp.  It took me several years to finally meet him in person, but only because of money issues. We had evidence of chat logs. When I did finally meet him, we took pictures of where we went and everything.I sent copies of the receipts of the things he bought me at Dolman mall.  I understand that our marriage is out of the norm (different ethnicity and religious backgrounds) but to come right out and accuse my husband like that.  It was almost as if they were trying to force him to admit it.  I agree, it is a crock of ****!!

Omg both of you! So sorry to hear that. My husband's interview will be in Islamabad as well. Did you guys not go with them to the interview? Do you think this was the reason why. Thanks

I didn't. Since I learned how my husband was treated I probably should have, especially since I had plenty of PTO. But the interview letter stated it wasn't necessary for me to attend. So who knows, it may have been.

I also met my husband online in 2011 in Feb. I wasn't looking for a relationship. He was drumming up tourism business. We were friends for several years before we met. I suppose I will go visit him next month if he doesn't get his visa. We haven't seen each other in almost a year.  This is costing us a fortune. This will be my 8th trip. I sure don't know what to do if they deny us. How in the world could we prove he is not a fraud? Wait until we are almost dead of old age....? lol

I think their usual MO is to try to get people rattled by intimidating them. My hubby was mostly shocked at their eye-rolling and rudeness. Another couple got their visa that day. They were both 28 and Muslim. It's really sad when you have been together this long. I truly understand the fraud part---think 90 Day Fiance...An idiot could see that coming. I know tons of people who have gotten their visas with horrible boyfriends and spouses.

I wonder if it is possible to request some type of interview while I am over there to talk to them?

Extreme vetting is not unheard of at ISB VOP. You cannot request an interview, however you may access the Citizen Services just to supplement your side. Please note that AP is done by a third agency and currently congress has not codified a time limit on it. While AP remains a time consuming headache, on brighter side, it is not always too lengthy.
