Dean, Canadians with singing ability come only from BC or Nova Scotia--it is absolutely impossible for an Ontarian (such as Twain) to have any!

(and note that one of the no-talents on my list is from Alberta!)

You only got 2 out of 5 correct. Madonna and Sonny Bono are definitely 2 without actual singing talent. I will give them the respect that they know how to work the business side extremely well! Except for poor Sonny! To be taken out by a tree leaves me speechless!

• Shania Twain's rise was done by Mutt Lange's approach of giving large "samples" for stores to unload--without Lange, she'd be nowhere

Speaking as a performing musician of 30 years, I trust my musical ear more than most people's. I am NOT a fan of ANY person you've listed. I will give credit where credit is due though. Michael Jackson was well established from a young age amongst all the Motown legends. He's had one of the biggest selling albums of all time. And you still believe he's got no talent? KD Lang I couldn't care about political thoughts or his/her lifestyle. If he/she doesn't want to eat me, who cares? As far as Shania Twain, her husband knew exactly how to market her. She's performed along the sides of Aretha Franklin, Celine Dion, and Carole King all on the same stage. If she didn't have some amount of talent, why would they have wanted her on the same stage to sing with these talents ladies?
