How many times to travel to see my fiance b4 our interview???

Hi All 

I am about to submit my K-1 visa application this summer.  I have traveled 3 times to DR in one year to visit my fiance.  Due to the fact that these trips are expensive can i wait for my interview to fly out again?  Or do i need to fly out one more time to see my fiance before the interview?

You won't have an interview if you are the USC.

Only requirement for K1 is to have met once in the past two years which you. Of course, the more face time the better but you have already fulfilled that requirement

Only once within the past 2 years from filing is required. But the more face time, the better for the actual interview. There is no fixed number...people have been approved with only 1 in-person meeting and others denied with several. It depends on the CO (COs from some embassies are much tougher than others), the other evidence, etc.

 

You are not required at the interview, but if you can be there then it should help. Depending on the embassy, you may not be allowed to be present for the interview, but you can give your passport to your fiance to show to the CO as proof that you are waiting outside.
