Change of address after NOA1

I received my NOA1 on 5/6 and hanged my address on 5/7 as we have moved interstate. How quickly do they move on this change of address and should I expect my biometrics appointment notice be sent to my new address or old address? Thanks.

Sometimes a request gets a little buried, if things get busy on the forum. No reason to get sarcastic.;)

Anyway, you are required to report your address change within 10 days of moving. You can do it online with the AR-11 form (if you choose to do it by mail, you also have to phone in and change it)

Your spouse (sponsor) also needs to report their address change (this one has to go in by mail - the form is I-865), although the sponsor has a month (I think) to report.

I got a notification that my address had been changed (in the mail) within a couple of weeks, as I recall. (Although it was before I filed I751... I also got the letter reminding me to file I751 at my new address.)

What I would do, if I were you, is to file my AR-11 online and then call USCIS right at the start of business (which is when you're most likely to get through) about a week or so later to make sure that your new address is showing in their system. While you have them on the phone, ask whether any mail has been sent to you, and whether or not your biometrics appointment has been scheduled. They may not be able to answer, but it's worth a shot.

Address changes usually go super smoothly, but of course when they don't, they go operatically awry. I know that's not super comforting... but you're going to have to be your own advocate here.

Good luck!
