POE paperwork question

My immigrant visa pack came in the mail (the envelope with the cutoff corner that they tell you not to open, and my passport with my visa.  However they also gave me back all my evidence in a plastic pocket.  Do I need to take the evidence stuff with me also?

For POE, your passport with the visa and the sealed package should be all you need. I'm assuming the plastic pocket only contains your relationship evidence, not documents and forms vital to the immigration process?

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.

They took all that stuff off me at POE. I had to hand over the lot.

Documents separate from the sealed envelope? Sounds very strange.

The comment was for JFH.

I've seen others get that type of evidence back separately before, I got some of it back during my interview. So I don't find it strange that you got it back. I find it strange that it was requested from JFH at POE.
