I need help I called nvc multiple times to clarify why the IV Bill fee says pay now instead of processing. I paid the fee may 4th when I got a email. The next day I got another email which was the same exact iv bill invoice as the last. So on the page it tells me I didn't pay able not paid. Not on the receipt section it shows I paid and the transaction Id and time. I looked at my bank and see enough they took the payment. I'm worried that I'll have to spend another 325$ because they messed up. Any help??? They said I should wait till Friday? It's been 5 days

It takes several business days for it to update. You have only really had two business days since you paid (Friday and Monday - it's still morning on Tuesday in the USA right now). You need bucketfuls of patience when dealing with the NVC. Wait until Friday and see what it says then.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

IV bill takes longer to process than the AOS bill and it depends on when the transaction is processed by NVC's system.  Give it till Friday, then start spam calling NVC :)  I'm pretty sure it'll update by then.

I also paid the IV fee on the 4th, the money has been taken out my account, but on the ceac portal still says in process.

I called the NVC yesterday, they said it can take up to 7 days to process in their system.

Thanks for your reply. The AOS fee cleared in a day, so I was surprised to hear the IV fee takes much longer.

Thanks, our documents were delivered on the 8th, so I'm just waiting to complete the DS-260. I'll update the form when we eventually get a scan date. :)
