Overpaid fees

Hello-

We sent in the I-485 last week and included the filing fee and biometric fee in a single check. I made the check out for $15 over the correct amount in error. I understand this will be rejected but my question is this: will the entire packet be returned, will it be discarded there or will we just need to submit a new check in the correct amount once the NOA/rejection is received?

The entire packet will be returned. You can use the documents there and just add the new check with the correct amount and send it out again
