Is there anyway to track when the NVC gets my approval notice? Do they send you a notice?

There is no way of tracking the NVC's handling of the visa petition. Once I received my approval I sent them an email regarding my petition and gave them my receipt number. The email is NVCInquiry@state.gov. The thing is, they took a while to respond. I got an email from the embassy in Jakarta saying they received my petition and about a week later the NVC emailed me back telling me they sent my petition to the beneficiary's country.

Follow the above link and press 5 when it asks you for what letters does your receipt number starts with. Option 5 is for speaking to a operator because K3 visa usually doesn't stay at NVC for more than 2 weeks so you have to speak with a operator to find out what case number is assigned and if the file has been sent to the embassy. I was able to get my case number within a week of my 129F petition approval.
