Hey guys,

So I had my Oath ceremony yesterday, and today I applied for my US passport expedited at the passport agency.

It all went ok and my passport will be ready by Friday.

But...

They took my original naturalization certificate and held on to it.

Is this normal? And if so, should I expect it back when I pick my passport up?

I think I might be over-worrying here. All these years of immigration stress, I'm so accustomed to worrying about the tiniest things!

Thanks!

Yes its normal that they keep your certificate. They do that so they can verify it. You will be able to pick it up when you pick up your passport. I understand that you worry about it lol, its normal to feel that way after all the nightmares we had to go through lol.
