Hi Guys. Please please help us. My husband is American so is my 4 year old son who is currently here in England with me while the husband is back in the US. It seems my visa interview has been taking longer than it should so my husband decided to start giving the Nvc a call every week as status was not changing at all, and then there would tell him different stories every week until a few days ago they told him that they needed "my court documents" for them to book an interview. This morning NVC send me an email requesting court documents if I've been to court. Well I had caution from 2007 for using an expired bus pass, so that got me a "No live trace". When I got a no live trace, I applied for my "subject access request". Because from reading other people's stories, I thought they would ask for it at the interview. So now my question is, what court documents do I need when I never went to court? Is the subject access request enough? Is it what they are suggesting as "court documents"? Please help! I'm so confused.

Ok thanks, I know they won't guess. And I wasn't going to ignore no. My question was, is the subject request good enough or? Because we just don't want them to keep delaying things. Our son is missing his father. Thank you

Send a photocopy of the SAR stating that is the only official record of your incident because you did not go to court. Tell them the SAR indicates the date, charge, and the punishment, fine or whatever  the end result was. You are going to have to explain it all to them because they deal with many countries and can not possibly know how each handles offences like this, so they use the generic term court records.

Thank you so much for your reply. Do they do SAR in the UK though because I've called the police they are insisting they can only provide the The Subject Access Request and all that's on it.
