apply for adjustment of status

Hello ,I arrived in the United states last month. I have married my fiance last week and now we want to apply for adjustment of status which doubles as the green card .We went to fill form I 485 but now do not know exactly how much to pay for filling fee.please anyone who has gone through this stage should help me with information on payment and any other that has to do with adjustment of status

$1225 for I-485 and biometrics.

 

You apply for EAD and AP with those at no extra cost.

Correct.  The new fee is $1140 + $85 for Biometrics = $1225.

 

Make sure you also file for I-765 (EAD) and I-131 (AP) along with your I-485.  There is no additional fee if you file these forms all 3 forms together.

 

EAD = Employment Authorization Document

AP = Advance Parole (Travel Document)

Thanks so much .so once I apply I 131 together with I 485 then I won't incur extra charges but if done separately ,then charges will be incurred right

I believe you can add them later for free; but just take an hour and fill them out also. Might as well and then should get EAD/AP combo within 90 some days where as the GC might take 10-12 months.
