Hi,

I know this topic has been covered a lot but I was still curious as to how to fill out forms I-485 and I-130. I come from Latin America, so I have two last names listed on my passport. I've seen some people say they listed only their paternal last name on the 'family name,' and then listed both the paternal and maternal on the section where it asks for other names. If I did it this way, would it create issues in processing the application?

I would like the EAD and the green card to come with only one last name since I have always had all my documents in the US listed that way (driver's license, bank account, school, etc.) From what I have gathered, it seems like USCIS processes the cards with whatever names are listed on 4.a-4.c of I-130. Would there be any other way of ensuring that the documents come with just one last name without causing any hiccups in the processing of the paperwork? Thanks!
