Hello all.

I wasn't expecting hearing case complete when I called on on 4/6 and I spoke with supervisor that asked for check list  of documents that I have sent already. I can't explain how happy I was  when he said that I hope you feel that soon. I called yesterday and they said we did not send it to the  Embassy yet.  How long does it take to get to the  Embassy usually?  And what are the vaccinations that are required for BGH cases  Baghdad cases ?

Thanks I I hope you hear  something soon

please notes  The three N/A are reall.

Not entirely sure what visa you are applying for (you have no timeline and your status says visa applied for other)

In general your file will be transferred to the embassy AFTER your interview is scheduled, how long it takes to schedule your interview depends on the embassy with some having a short wait of a month or two and others having longer waits

As for the vaccinations you need, the doctor will administer everything that is required at the medical exam, which the beneficiary will have after the interview is scheduled and before the interview

NVC has been getting sloppy, most likely because of the high volume of cases they deal with, and their ever-increasing wait times. We emailed our documents (also using an attorney) and 2 weeks later they still did not have any record of our emailed documents being received.

I think they dont register the documents as received until they actually open the emails to review the documents. A few days after the 2 week mark, we received a checklist for items we had submitted. We submitted the exact same email with the documents again and then a couple days later we had case complete. No idea what happened the first go-around, but fortunately someone with at least a minimal level of competence was able to review our case the second time and see that everything was in order.

They are swamped with cases, so there are items that are missed. It is a good idea to call NVC constantly to check on the status of your case. A month does seem like a lot of time, as most cases handled through email are reviewed in 2-3 weeks, so it is definitely good that you checked with them. Now that you have resent the documents, I recommend calling NVC every day to follow up on their progress. Maybe in that time they will process the original email that was sent in, who knows?

No the beneficiary does not need to take any vaccination record to the medical appointment, if you have one bring it, in either case all required vaccinations will be given at the medical

While you don't "need" to take a vaccination record, if you bring no evidence of any vaccine they will assume you have none and will give you all that are required.

So if you know ahead of time that you need them all anyway, then it isn't a big deal. But if you know you have received some of them before, it would make sense to get a record of that so you dont' have to get extra vaccines. While getting additional doses of vaccines dont' really cause problems, if it isn't necessary you might as well not get them (every vaccine carries a small risk of complications so if you really don't need them then you shouldn't get them).

So OP - The beneficiary/applicant should go to their doctor and try to get a print out of vaccinations, if they have received any. I don't know anything about healthcare in Iraq unfortunately.
