I am a recent graduate and looking for a job. Looking, looking, looking since December (although not too seriously until March, since I was in Tanzania until then). I had a 3 hour-long interview with a company that I've had my heart set on for a while. It went really really well. They called me a week and a half ago to tell me they were VERY interested, they just had to wait on background checks to clear. Then they called me last Monday to give me the details of the offer, but again, they were waiting on background checks. Now they call me today and tell me that internal people have applied, and so has someone who left the company and wants to return, so they won't let me know for another 2-3 weeks. It doesn't look good.

####### happens. I'm incredibly disappointed, obviously, but this wouldn't be so hard if Ombeni wasn't in the picture. I hate thinking that if I don't get a decent job soon, I won't have enough money for his plane ticket, court marriage fees, AOS fees, let alone a place to live! I'm living with my parents right now, which is okay, but it won't be okay once Ombeni gets here. Blahhhhhhh! I miss him so much, and I don't want finances to delay when he flies over, but it seems like that will be necessary. :(

Hang in there!!!!! It will get better.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

YES! YOU hang in there. I think you are obviously a smart little cookie and I think there is a reason you may not get this job, and that is because something bigger and better is waiting. God's delays aren't denials (if you are religious, im not but i love that saying).

You didn't get through all that school and travel half way around the world to find the love of your life to let some puny job market beat you.

Never, ever, ever, ever give up.

You should know - Success Is Measured By The Journey...

Getting your foot that far in the door is something many/most can not claim. So while there may be some disappointment, you should lift your head with pride knowing you did your best...

When something like this happen, I say to myself that it was not meant for me and that there is something better waiting, so I just move on.

Don't give up hope, everything will be fine! All things happen for a reason ;)

Good luck!!!

Hello,

I think you will be ok.....you just filed and it will be a couple of months before all is done...alot can happen by then. You sound like you are on a mission and have FAITH...it will all work out :) Do you have any temp agencies around you? One time when I was not working...I signed up w/ a couple agencies and I stayed busy until I got a FT job..... and it was fun doing different things...some assignments were just for a day, and some could be for a week or even longer......just an idea.

To Blessed to be stressed:) I realize that all things have a purpose and a time.....have faith and the Lord Almighty will provide... when the time is right, he NEVER fails!
