New, Advice? Which I-130, packet complete

Hi, long time lurker and still confused by a lot and scared to participate.

 

My husband entered on 3/15 and we married on 3/17 and I filled out the old I-130. Our packet is ready to mail tomorrow, he leaves tonight. 

 

Do I need to go back and do the NEW I-130? I don't want it to be sent back but I thought they were accepting the old until the end of this month. Also, is a wedding invitation bad as evidence if you came in on a tourist visa? 

 

Thanks in advance and sorry for my unfamiliarity with the guides etc. Any help appreciated and please accept my apologies for newbie questions/answers which might be in the guides.

Coming on a tourist visa with intent to get married and leave again is not a bad thing, happens all the time so should okay with the invitation I would think.

 

Also it says USCIS will accept the 12/23/16 version up until April 28th, 2017. So if you send it now you should be fine.

11/08/2016 : Interview - APPROVED!

11/23/2016 : POE - Dallas, Texas

From sending of I-129F petiton to POE - 146 days.

 

02/03/2017 - Married 

02/24/2017 - AOS packet sent

06/01/2017 - EAD/AP Combo Card Received in mail

12/06/2017 - I-485 Approved

12/14/2017 - Green Card Received in mail - No Interview

Marrying on a tourist visa is perfectly fine. He's not staying so it's not an issue.

 

The old I-130 is valid until 4/28. I disagree with the above on one thing, though. Given the time for them to scan and process it, I wouldn't risk it personally. I'd go with the new form just to be safe. The NOA1 can take a month for the I-130.

I don't know how to multiquote so thank you so much you guys!

 

I have the old form all prepared but someone on Reddit said March 2017 filers on the VisaJourney forums are getting their forms bounced back because it was the old one. It does seem like a safe side thing but DH leaves today and we'd hoped to do other things than forms :( thanks again <3
