resubmit n-400

Hi

I received a rejection of my n-400 for incorrect payment asking to resubmit with green paper to attached .

I am hesitating to resubmit because i left the country after submitting my application for two weeks.

if i resubmit my application now,

will they consider the original filling date or they will process it as new filing ???

if they process it as a new filing i l will have a problem meeting the  required physical presence .

and they so accept it would it be a problem for me at the interview ????

I called USCIS twice and i did have two different answer from different employee.

I checked with an immigration lawyer and she said you could try  resubmit and you have nothing to loose .

It will go off the new filing date.

 

The "original" or old filing date does not exist since it was rejected.

 

Update your forms to reflect the travel you just completed and resubmit....

 

Like lawyer said, "Nothing to lose"... have to try right?
