I need ur help

I am us citizen and applied for my spouse and our child.

Regarding the case of my child the uscis requested an additional evidence

They asked for Nikah Nama because the marriage certificate is not sufficent.

What's the difference between nikah nama and marriage certificate?

From where can I get it from Egypt?

Can I send another copy of nikah nama regarding my spouse's case inorder to save time.that's to say not to wait for their same request of sending nikah nama

The last question

I applied for i 30 petition one for my spouse and another separate one for my child is it true.

Thanks in advance

Hi Kareem.

When you got married, did you get your marriage certificate through the Ministry of Justice and approved by the US Embassy? If so, then you make a copy of that certificate and get it translated. I'm not sure if you are a duel citizen or not... but if you are (Egyptian-American), is your Nikka Nama (Egyptian Marriage Certificate) registered with the Egyptian government? If so, then just get it translated... and submit a copy of the official Nikka Nama that you signed when you got married. You should have provided this document for both cases; as it's the document that states you are legally married to your wife, and your child's birth certificate should have both you and your wife's name on it... which is why they may be asking for the nikka nama/marriage certificate.

This is how a USC gets legally married in Egypt. https://eg.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/local-resources-of-u-s-citizens/marriage-in-egypt/?_ga=1.38389733.772981652.1490553952

Now I understand better, They do not want the electronic marriage certificate that you have registered. What USCIS wants is the original marriage certificate that you signed at the time you got married with the translations.
