Hello VJS, has anyone applied I-130 tru DCF ? or have any clue how long I will wait for the consulate response? I send a email asking for Authorization to file the I-130 petition in the US Consulate Rio de Janeiro. Just explaining  my case: I’m living aboard in Brazil filling for my wife, initially I have send an email to Rio Consulate asking to apply the petition on DCF because I have medical emergency, (U.S. Embassies and Consulates may only accept I-130 petition filings from petitioners who believe they have exceptional situations) . My surprise the email was almost immediately answered they send to me a email asking for some documentation to qualify for DCF.
I have send those documents , after that they send to me another email asking for domicile prove, I send those documents again  and I got this response below ," this was on March 13", Does anyone know how the consulate proceeds on DCF cases or how long i need wait for next step?

From what it's written, They're reviewing the documents and info requesting to do the dcf. If you were approved, they would have said that and would give you new instructions to follow.

since it's not usual to have dcf in Brazil, I can't offer any predictions on how long this is going to take, IF they allow the dcf route
