Bangladesh shocked world number one-ranked South Africa with a 67-run victory in the World Cup Super Eights on Saturday which has turned the tournament on its head.

The Bangladeshis, who progressed to the second phase against the odds after a surprise win over India in the group stage, followed their World Cup record total of 251 for eight by dismissing the South Africans for 184 at the Providence Stadium.

The result seriously damaged strongly fancied South Africa's hopes of reaching the last four from the second stage and gave fresh hope to hosts West Indies and England who had looked to be heading out of the competition.

The West Indies team needs a lot more than South Africa loosing. They have forgetten how to play as a team since they entered into the Super 8! We've been watching them here on their home turf and thy have been letting their fans down. I hope this revives their team spirit and gives them the boost they need to win next tuesdays match. If they loose, they will not be able to advance to the next round. The team is already here in Grenada...they arrived on different planes and wouldn't even acknowledge the cultural show that was put on for their welcome. I hope they rest up, take in a little beach time, and come out ready to play...and win!

Just my thoughts on the cricket series.

Bangledesh has been playing very well, it's been a pleasure to watch them, they really have a great team attitude.
