Trying to get appointment Affidavit in Lieu of a Certificate of Legal Capacity to Contract Marriage

I'm marrying a Filipino girl next month. I was just on the US Consulate in Manila's website to book my appointment for the “Affidavit in Lieu of a Certificate of Legal Capacity to Contract Marriage,”  and can't get an appointment for the entire month of April... the time when we've made our wedding plans.  I didn't know I needed to do this until yesterday.  We've already made our wedding plans, she's left work, I've made arrangements for childcare here and bought my ticket.  Can I get this form from another embassy closer to me?  Possibly here in the States, or Mexico?  Maybe they're "work me in" if I just show up and wait?

According to the U.S. Embassy Manila webstie, ph.usembassy.gov.    The U.S. Citizen Services will handle routine walk-in services from 7:30 AM - 12:00 noon daily.   They also have an office in Cebu (if this location works best for you). The Consulat Agency in Cebu city also offers routine walk-in sevices @ the Waterfront Hotel in Lahug, Cebu City ground floor from 8:00 Am - 10:30 AM on Mon-Tue-Thur-Friday.  I am not certain on the fee but believe it is around $50.00 usd or Philippine peso equivalent.  Unless the rules have changed your fiancee does not have to be present for you to get this done.  I had mine done at a U.S. Embassy outreach visit in Angeles City back in 2012.  Fiancee was not with me.  Definetely go the walk-in route if you are unable to secure an online appointment.  Explain your situation to them upon arrival and you should have no problem getting that done.  Good luck.

Walk-in at the embassy.   Not according to the embassy website,

U.S. citizens seeking to obtain this service may do so at the Embassy in Manila or at the Consular Agency in Cebu.  Obtaining this document at the Embassy is done by appointment only.

The Cebu consulate does allow walk-ins

The Consular Agency in Cebu offers notarial services on a walk-in, first-come/first-served basis each day from 9:00 – 11:00 AM.

Perritonegro sounds as though Sagot may be on to something.  If I were you I would continue checking the website every day for April appointment openings.  The American Citizen Services may not have opened April appointment times/dates yet.  From the looks of appointment slots still open for the rest of March, I can't imagine the entire month of April being booked solid at this point.  I would guess they would be opening April appointments soon.  American Services contact number is listed on the website.  If those April slots don't open up by the end of this month, I would give them a call.  Good luck.

Thank you all for your replies and help.  I went back and re-read the calendar and realized that appointments aren't yet available.  I must admit that I felt like a bit of a noob after reading that.  lol  Again, thanks to all for your help.  I'm sure I'll have plenty more questions!

I do have another question; is 3 weeks enough time to get our documents from the respective gov't agencies AND get married AND have a short honeymoon?  I've read that the governmental gears turn quite slowly there.

If you get married in a Catholic Church, it will take more than 3 weeks to jump through all the hoops. A civil marriage ceremony will be much faster.

Make sure you two already gather all the requirements needed to submit for marriage license, then when you arrived and got that lieu you both go straight to the municipality where you goin to apply for marriage license and wait for the 10 working days of posting after that, once the marriage license released you can get married.

You should learn first hand from the Local Registrar just what they will require as you plan for your marriage.  Further information that might help with your situation can be found here

We're both Christians, and wanted to marry in a Christian church.  We just decided to marry a JoP, then do a proper ceremony before she comes to the States.
