Yea I got my case number and filled out the ds-261 to chose an agent but I’m waiting for the fee link to open

Yes go to the nvc website and put your case number and invoice number and you can start with the agent and address

Hello Everybody !!

 

I just received great news. I Called NVC today about 1 ago and they gave me great news my case was completed February 9th which was last Friday. The guy told me to wait to get assigned an interview. I will be going to Cuidad Juarez with my husband. My packet was received January 19th. I'm really happy. God is great. Have faith and everything will be alright.

Please all, I am a bit confused, my wife is a US citizen and filing for me, we are now at the nvc stage paid our AOS and Visa bills, now we are trying to gather all documents. My wife hasn't filed for tax transcript for 2017, she worked just few months for 2017, can she use her tax transcript for 2016,15 and 14 then? Please your answers will be highly helpful.

Yes you may because 2017 is not due until April, so send in 2016, 2015 and 14. Or just 2016 if it is enough.

2016 is not enough, so we wanna use a co sponsor. Sorry to bother you again, my other question is if nve will add up the income for 2016,15 and 14 to reach the poverty guidelines or just one of 2016? Thanks

if her income for 2016 is not enough, which is 125% above the poverty line.then she will have to use a co-sponsor who is making enough to support u.and it will be better to have 2017 tax filled if not then 2016 will do.BUT by the time u will have the interview, it will be already deadline to file tax is up. u need to take this into consideration my friend.

its always wiser to take time and avoid any mistakes.

My problem is that her tax transcript for 2017 is too low and if I may want to use it, it might be difficult for the co sponsor's earnings reach the required poverty guideline. No o household is five and it's almos $40k. What do you think?
