I initially spoke with an L1 officer, I let her go through her routine then politely requested an L2 officer.  They take your number and inform you that someone will return the call in a specified time frame. Before that time was up I got the call from a uscis L2 officer. He was very helpful and was able to tell me that my oath ceremony was in 3 days! He faxed the letter over and I also got another call from someone confirming I got the fax. It was amazingly efficient and pleasant that experience. My notice interestingly actually came that same day in the mail but after that call. So it would be a good idea to call. I think they are even open on Saturdays. And I did call as soon as they opened too. Good luck! 

Thank you for the insight!  It looks like Customer Service Center Hotline is open Monday to Friday but I doubt anybody would be there on Monday.   Hopefully I will get it in the mail tomorrow or Tuesday.

Oh wow.. i am also a NYC filer, and my interview was 2.5 weeks ago, yet i still havent heard anything in regards to the Oath ceremony appointment. What is the time frame any idea? Should i be calling?

Are you In Line for Oath?  It look me just over two weeks to get the In Line for Oath.  I think you will you will get it any day now.

 

I would call only from 4 weeks out (at least thats what I would have done)

No, i am not in line for Oath yet, i guess i will wait another week or two and then contact them.

With a huge sigh of relief, I had a L2 officer fax me the details of my Oath Ceremony this Friday.  The L2 officer was super friendly and extremely helpful.

 

Like Charro advised, do not listen to the representative you first speak to after calling customer service.  They will not give you any information and do not wait the 30 day period as indicated By them.  If I had listened to the L1 representative of waiting till the 28th, I would have missed out my ceremony.

The reason why my case is still in suck is probably because I am an earlier filer and my FO timeline is one of the longest in the country...

While it explains your case it leaves my case in the realm of unexplained. First of all, USCIS decided that my wife is different from me (I am the one who is more suspicious ), which took me by surprise.  Moreover, I am with Raleigh-Durham field office which has processing times of 6 months according to the website (actually 5 months and 3 weeks). I could not finish within this time frame even if I received an interview letter today.

 

It could be that my case will be like the one reported by @Nick79 and I will get an invitation to have another fingerprints taken.
