Good morning everyone,

I would appreciate a bit of advice, as I've gotten some conflicting information. Here's the gist of the situation:

I filed my N-400 in December 2016; I cleared biometrics and background checks and am "in line for interview" as of January 31 2017. My green card (10-year one) expires on March 09th 2017. What steps, if any, should I take? Am I supposed to go for full green card renewal despite being in N-400 process, or do I file for some kind of temporary extension / renewal? Should I expect additional headaches with naturalization process due to green card expiration?

Thank you in advance for the advice!

You're fine.  If  you had travel plans, you would need a stamp on your passport, but otherwise, your 10 year green card expiring does not terminate your LPR status. It isn't like the 2 year card, where you have to apply before it expires.

It's okay if your green card expires while you naturalize.  A search here on VJ shows many here were successful getting naturalized with expired green card.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.
