In 2012 I applied for a K1 visa for a lady that I had met and visited in Manila. Shortly before the scheduled interview in Manila I discovered some inaccuracies in her history and statements. I told her I did not want to get married and to not attend the visa interview in Manila. I did not cancel or withdraw the K1 visa application.

Fast forward to 2017 and I have met someone else from the Manila area and considering marriage and a vK1 visa application for her. Do I need to cancel the 2012 K1 in writing prior to submitting one this time? I previously read the application is canceled if the interview does not take place. I do not know if she went to the interview.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

In 2012, My K1 visa application was approved and I was set to do the interview in Manila. But I discovered my fiance at that time lied to me. So I didn't report to the embassy, I completely abandoned the visa. 1 year later he got married to another Filipina that he filed another k1 visa for. He didn't write a letter or anything, the previous application was automatically cancelled because it was abandoned for more than 90 days.
