My wife and I are completing the I-485 and I-864 for our (her) child.

Should we also complete the I-765?

Would this be the way for him to get a social security number?

Is it better to file the form I-765 now, rather than later?

He is 10 so no biometrics fee, which is good.

thank you

Unfortunately the I-765 is not free.

I received NOA and they need payment for I-765 even though it was sent in with the AOS.

I should have done better research better, I guess.

No it is free as long as the AOS is still pending. Did you send in the NOA1 from the AOS with the I-765?

Uscis told me to send the 765 back with a copy of the pending 485 and also a letter stating that I spoke to uscis agent (including agent number) and also that the web site states erecis no fee, in my case.
