Good Day,

My name is Taiwo. My wife is has a GC and resides in the US. She has started my filing process and the USCIS has approved now forwarded to the NVC. Called them and iwas told they are still attending to people whose priority date is March 2015 and mine is March 2016. My wife is the only one with my baby and the work load is to much for her. Pending the wait can i apply for a visit visa ?

A visit visa is for visiting, not living in the USA to wait it out. At most you don't be allowed to stay 6 months and then have to return to your home country for at least 6 months.

What job job do you have that would allow you to be away for that long?  The likelihood of a Nigerian being given a b2 is low.

Agreed there is almost no chance of you getting a visitors visa.  If you have the money you can try but do no expect it.  You have obvious immigrant intent and more reason to abuse the visa than not.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Thanks for this. I don't intend staying long as am the Admin Officer of a company here in Nigeria. Have not seen my baby since she was born and the work load is just to much for her.

There isn't much choice but waiting for most.  When your petition has a priority date it can seem like lifetimes but someday when you are old it will seem like only a small bump in the road of life.

HAHA. Thank you
