Now that I have my interview schedule in March I am reviewing the requirements again. Please comment based on your interview experience.

Our case:

1. We filed AOS in Sept 2016 and just attached DS3025 since our medical is under one year; had our medical in my home country as part of the K1 process.

2. Interview set on March 2017, medical is now over one year.

3. Our notice for the interview specified must bring Form I-693 and vaccine report if not yet submitted.

Based on I-693 instructions page 6 &7, Part 3 FAQ. No.3

If you were admitted as a:

A. K-1 fiancé(e) or a K-2 child of a K-1 fiancé(e); or

B. K-3 spouse of a U.S. citizen or a K-4 child of a K-3 spouse of a U.S. citizen; and

C. You received a medical examination prior to admission, then:

1) You are not required to have another medical examination as long as you file your Form I-485 within one year of an overseas medical examination, and:

(a) The panel physician did not find a class A medical condition during your overseas examination; or

(b) The panel physician did find a class A medical condition, you received a waiver of inadmissibility, and you have complied with the terms and conditions of the waiver.

(2) Even if a new medical examination is not required, you must still show proof that you complied with the vaccination requirements. If the vaccination record (DS 3025) was not properly completed and included as part of the original overseas medical examination report, you will have to have the Part 7. Vaccination Record completed by a designated civil surgeon. In this case, you must submit Parts 1., 2., 4., and 7. of Form I-693.

Do I need to do the I-693 because it was specified on the must bring docs on my interview notice?

I just returned home from my AOS interview. I did not submit I-693 after reading on this forum that if your medical for the K-1 was less than a year old that you don't need to.

THIS IS FALSE. The only thing that stopped us from getting the greencard on the spot was not having the I-693, so we are getting an RFE for it. I asked about it and mentioned how on the forum people were saying the above, that you don't need it if you did a medical for the K-1 within a year of applying for AOS. He explained that isn't true at all, because the medical for the K-1 is for the Department of State, and not for USCIS.
