Hello everyone,

I have a question I hoping that you guys can help me out. My husband and I want to adopt a child in the Dominicana Republican. What are the steps to bring the child to USA? Forms? Visa? Ect...

Is this child a relative?  Are the parents alive?

 

There are very strict rules for adopting and getting an immigration visa.

 As others have said, immigration is very aware that people think adopting a relative is the solution to bypassing the long if not impossible path to helping them immigrate so they have rules to stop that.  If you want to help the relative you can set them up with better education in their home country usually for much less than the cost of raising a child in the US

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
