Hello all.  I have a question or two regarding after we receive the NOA2 (just trying to stay ahead of the game :D).  I know that we receive the case number and all while it is sent to the NVC and then to the embassy in London so we will be able to keep an eye on it.  My questions are...

1. When and where do we pay the visa filing fee?  Does this get paid from my end in America or is it to be paid in British Pounds on his end?

2. What other fees have to be paid prior to the medical and interview and where do these get paid?

3. Does the I-134 Affidavit of Support have to be filed before the interview or do I only supply my fiancé with a copy to take with him?

Any and all answers are greatly appreciated.  As well as any additional information that we should know that you want to share :)

Thanks!!

1.) it is paid in BP on his end.

2.) Medical (cost unknown for England and visa fee $265 are the only costs but you may want to check the Regional forums here for ENGLAND

3.) I-134 is filled out by you before the interview and given to him to take to the US Embassy in the event they happen to ask for it. They don't always but best to have it just in case.

You may want to update your VJ timeline and signature as your case is NOT considered a transfer .

Texas lock box is simply the location that accepts your petition, strips out the payment. They then forward your case to CSC. - Cali

Hope this helps

Jim

Thanks for the information.  I will definitely update my timeline and signature.  I didn't realize that it was just forwarded and not transferred.  I appreciate you answering my questions.  :)
