Putting papers together

Just a quick question about putting all of our papers together to send. Do we use the ACCO fastner like we did in filing our I-129 forms and label them at the bottom again or how should we do it?

Another thing, if we do "fasten" them together, do we put the AED forms in that "fastener" too.

I used the same rules of thumb that I did for the K-1. Include a cover page - put everthing in the same order as listed on the cover page - use not a single staple (lol) - paperclip items together that need to be looked at together - and then I used a big bulldog clip to secure the whole thing together. The acco fasteners were a big pain in the rear end for me, lol.

It's really up to you. I put mine together in a large packet with tabs...one tab per important chunk of information (Tab 1 = I-485 and supplements, Tab 2 = Biographic info, Tab 3 = Vaccination supplement, Tab 4 = I-765 and supplements, Tab 5 = I-864 and supplements).

In the cover letter I included an index to show where things were. I clipped ALL of this together with a fastener as well as both checks in a marked envelope clipped in the package.

I just used a cover letter .. and put everything in the order listed. I used paperclips to keep things together ... they must not have mided we got approved .. heh

We sent our paperwork in with a cover letter, but no special fasteners.

We recently had our interview and there was a huge file on the interviewer's desk--with the special fasteners keeping all the papers together--but as the interviewer took evidence from us(mail my husband rec'd at our address), he pulled some papers out and put the new ones somewhere in the middle of the file. This file was about 3 inches thick, so it must have more than just our AOS paperwork--probably everything we have sent them since the initial I-129F!

Since they (USCIS) are going to use the fasteners and add the new paperwork to an existing file, it might be easier for them if your papers were loose.
